Diarrheal diseases in children remain a public health problem in developing countries. In Burkina Faso, despite the efforts made by the State to improve maternal and child health, diarrhea with a prevalence rate of 15% remains the second leading cause of death in children after malaria. This research aims to analyze the determinants of mothers' non-recourse to medical prescription treatment in the event of diarrhea in children under five years of age in Burkina Faso. The analysis method used is bivariate descriptive analysis and explanatory analysis. The data used come from the Burkina Faso DHS V carried out in 2021. Our sample size is 1,818 children. The results from the binomial logistic regression model show that; the mother's reproductive experience; the household's standard of living; the mother's occupation and the child's age are significantly associated with non-recourse to medical treatment in the event of diarrhea in children under five years of age
