This study determined the prevalence and factors associated with fertility desire of people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Osun State. Increased use of antiretroviral therapy (ART) enhances health outcomes and survival of PLHIV. Improved quality of life of PLHIV requires a need to address their sexual and reproductive health needs. Understanding fertility desire and other reproductive health needs of HIV-clients will play a crucial role in designing and implementing appropriate health interventions. Yet, literature indicates inconsistent findings on the influence of factors associated with fertility desire of PLHIV in Nigeria. This study employed quantitative and cross-sectional research design which used an interviewer-administered questionnaire to collect information from women and men aged 15-59 years who were receiving ART in the last 12 months preceding the survey. The results showed 38.4% fertility desire. Islam faithful, educational status, informal workers, lack of FP information, no children before HIV diagnosis and perceived large family size without positive HIV status were more likely to desire fertility. Lack of support from peers, widowed and not troubled of HIV-status were less likely to desire fertility. The findings showed the need to integrate fertility-related issues into HIV care continuum and strengthen SRH needs of PLHIV in Osun State.
