Mali is known as a country of welcome, hospitality and humanity (Funakawa, 2009) open to numerous population movements which have contributed to the ethnic mix of the country and its regional integration (IOM, 2016). In the regions of Kayes, Koulikoro and Sikasso, mining is a widespread activity and attracts thousands of migrant workers from African and non-African countries. In view of this observation, our research question is the following: “What are the determinants of the economic integration of international migrants in Mali? » Our study aims to contribute to a better knowledge of the determinants of the economic integration of international migrants in Mali. The data comes from a survey carried out by INStat and the IOM in 2022. The target population is made up of migrants aged 18 and over. Bivariate and multivariate statistical analyzes will be used to characterize migrants but also to explain their economic integration. The dependent variable “economic integration” will have three modalities: “weakly integrated”; “moderately inserted” and “strongly inserted”.
