Background: In 2022, Comoros reported an under-five mortality rate of 48 deaths per 1000 live births. By 2030, SDG Target 3.2 aims to end preventable deaths of newborns and children under five years and reduce it to as lows as 12 per 1000 live births and 25 per 1000 live births, respectively. Methods: This study makes use of secondary data from the most recent Comoros MICS6 data. Univariate, bivariate, and survival analysis are employed to answer the research questions using R programme version 4.4.0. Findings: The data analysis shows that male children have a 35% higher risk of death before the age of five compared to females. The data also shows that higher education significantly reduces the risk of under-five mortality, highlighting the protective effects of maternal education. The wealth index is also found to have a statistically significant effect (p = .04) on under-five survival.
