Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and mainly affects women aged 50-74 (Sung et al., 2021). However, Côte d'Ivoire is very affected by this disease where it is the most widespread and lethal and a large proportion of women affected are of childbearing age (GLOBOCAN, 2020). However, screening is a means of combating mortality from this disease. In Côte d'Ivoire, in 2021, only 17.46% of women had undergone breast cancer screening (INS, 2023). Also, the country does not have a national screening program. Sporadic screening campaigns are organized with civil society and NGOs. But they are not successful in reducing mortality linked to this cancer. This study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the determinants of the practice of breast cancer screening tests in Côte d'Ivoire among women. Using the 2021 DHS data, we will carry out descriptive analysis and explanatory analysis, we will do a binomial logistic regression where our dependent variable will be the practice of breast cancer testing with two modalities.
