Australia’s Intergenerational Reports

The Australian Government’s Intergenerational Reports (IGR) project the outlook for the economy and the Australian Government’s budget over the next 40 years. They take current policies as given to examine the long-term sustainability of the government budget. Fiscal sustainability helps to ensure the sustained provision of essential government services. IGRs are published at least every five years.
